Part one of the interview can be viewed above, and part two of the interview can be found here. Hunico conducted an interview with indysportslegends.com a few days ago where he mentions his dream match, his tag team and his past in the wrestling business. It’s definitely a good interview so give it a read!
Q: You got tombstoned by the Undertaker on the 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw. What was that experience like?
A: “Obviously, nobody wants to get tombstoned and get knocked out in the ring. I understand the magnitude of the 1000th episode. Big or small, I was in it, and it was very important to be there. I’ve never heard a reaction like that in my life.”
Q: What are your goals in the near future?
A: I would like to start something with Rey Mysterio. I grew up watching him. It would be great for my career and great for the fans. Obviously, Rey Mysterio means a lot to me and to a lot of people, especially the Mexican people. He’s one of the pioneers who opened a lot of doors for the Mexican wrestlers back in the day.”
Q: You wrestled in Chikara Pro before joining the WWE. What do you recall from that experience?
A: “I got a lot of opportunities there. I got a little more notice in the United States, from people who hadn’t seen me before. It was one of those times I enjoyed. I got to try different stuff. To me, it was very nice to be able to do that.”
Q: How would you describe your wrestling style to a casual fan?
A: “I think I’m the most versatile wrestler in the WWE. I can do the high-flying stuff, I can do the mat wrestling, I can do the submission. I’ve tried since I was very young to be an all-around wrestler. I think I’ve demonstrated that.”
Q: You’ve had success both in singles and as a tag team wrestler with Camacho. Which will we see more of from you in the future?
A: “I would love to have an opportunity to have a tag team title (with Camacho). That is something that I would love to do. You’ve got to start from the bottom up. But we’ve been partners for a long time.”
Q: Why is Camacho a good partner?
A: “He’s very loyal to me. He knows how to work with me. We have a chemistry. We have power and finesse. He’s a lot more power. If somebody’s bigger than me, I just say, hey, Camacho, take care of this for me.”
Q: So what can the fans expect to see on Tuesday?
A: “All the Smackdown stars will be there. Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Christian. Hunico and Camacho are going to be there. I hope they come.”
This past week, Hunico conducted an interview with Clash Time where he discusses great things. In the video posted above, Hunico talks about the nice bike he rides to the ring. Also, Hunico says that he wanted to win the Royal Rumble, so obviously, this interview happened before January 30. He says that he wants to conquer WWE and do much more down the road. The interview is pretty awesome, so I suggest you give it a watch, especially the part where Hunico mentions Rey Mysterio winning the 2006 Royal Rumble as his favorite! Also, Hunico discusses about being unmasked and how it was growing up. He also lists some of his favorite wrestlers which would be Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio back when he was Colibri and many more. The interviewer and Hunico discuss Hunico being quick and sly. Also, he says that Rey Mysterio VS. Hunico at WrestleMania is his dream match! Hunico seems so down to earth and hysterical, so You better watch!
In WWE’s Newest Youtube show, “Backstage Fallout,” WWE talks with Ted Dibiase, Beth Phoenix and of course, Hunico!
